When food outlets have 'crazy promotions' like this, I avoid
them like the plague.
Simply because:
1. Waste of time queueing up.
2. Time is money. The opportunity cost of queueing up is doing
real, valuable work that would make me money.
Even faceplanting into my desk would be a better use of my time,
since it would improve my productivity later on.
3. When stock runs out, everyone gets pissed. No point being in
the middle of a crowd with lots of negative emotions. It's bad for
my health.
4. I know that if I don't really want it, then I'm really not
benefitting myself.
Anyway, I enjoy being the mechanical engineer who laughs at
economics/ sociology/ psychology morons who don't apply what they
have learnt.
See this is the thing I cannot understand
If they spend 1 hour queuing up to spend $1 to buy a burger,
they might as well work for BK . Assuming they can work for only an
hour, they will be paid $4 and if I'm not wrong, BK provides free
lunch/dinner for their staff so they can get more than a burger for
free and get paid for it
